Is There An Age/Height Requirement For Team Members?

 

 

Starting in 2015, all participants at least 42″ tall on event day can run the course. There is no minimum age to participate.

What Are Teams?

 

 

Teams are a free to create and are a fun way to run with friends and family members. There is no minimum or maximum number of team members required, although we do recognize our largest team at every event. Teams are not guaranteed the same start time unless all members register for that time prior to the wave closing.

Is There Special Team Pricing?

 

 

All pricing is individual.

How Do I Create A Team?

 

 

Teams can be created during the registration process; it will be the second question within the registration process.

Is There A Minimum Or Maximum Number Of People Required To Create A Team?

 

 

No, a team can be any size you choose.

 

Q.

Do All Team Members Have To Run At The Same Time?

 

 

No, team members can run in any open wave time they would like to register for.

 

Q.

Can Teams Wear Costumes?

 

 

Yes, we encourage them. The crazier the better!

 

Q.

Are There Team Awards?

 

 

While there is no award, at each Insane Inflatable 5K event, we will recognize the team with the most members. The largest team will be immortalized on our starting line with our event MC in front of the entire Insane Inflatable 5K crowd.

How Do I Create A Team After I’ve Registered?

 

 

Teams can be created post-registration by logging into your account at eventelf.com, selecting the Events tab, clicking on your race, choosing Team, and picking Create.

 

Q.

How Do Members Join My Team?

 

 

This is done during the registration process via our website. After the participant has selected their wave time and entered all personal information, they will be prompted to join or create a team.

How Do I Invite Members To Join My Team?

 

 

Log into your account at eventelf.com and click the Teams tab. After selecting your team, click “invite friends to this team”. This will allow you to send an email invitation to both registered participants and non-registered participants.

How Do I Join A Team Post Registration?

 

 

Participants can join a team post-registration by logging into their account at eventelf.com, selecting the Events tab at the top, choosing their race, hitting Teams, and clicking Join.

 

Q.

How Do I Leave A Team?

 

 

You can leave a team by selecting the team under the “Teams” section within your eventelf.com account. If you are the Team Captain, you must first make another team member the Team Captain through a team captain transfer.

 

Q.

How Do I Manage My Team?

 

 

Teams can be managed at eventelf.com by selecting “Teams” at the top. Once you select your team, you’ll have access to managing it.

 

Q.

If I Create A Team Does It Guarantee All Members Will Start Together?

 

 

Creating a team does not ensure members will have the same start time. All members must complete registration prior to the start time closing. In order to guarantee that all members will start together, we highly recommend registering early before waves start to fill up. Please note that after a wave fills up, there are a very limited number of “All Access Passes” for sale that will grant a registrant entry into a wave of their choice, even if it is full.

If A Wave Time Closes Can I Still Add Team Members?

 

 

Participants can still register under your team name and count towards your captain incentives, but they cannot join a start time once the wave has closed and becomes sold out unless there are “All Access Passes” still available for purchase. The “All Access Pass” allows registrants to pick a wave of their choice, even if that wave is full; a very limited number of these passes are available for each event.

My Team Is Registered In A Closed Wave; Can I sign Up For An Open One And Run With Them?

 

 

We require all participants to run in the wave time they are registered under. Your bib will state your start time, and will be checked at the beginning of each wave. You may still be able to join your team’s wave if “All Access Passes” are still available for purchase. The “All Access Pass” allows registrants to pick a wave of their choice, even if that wave is full; a very limited number of these passes are available for each event.

What Are My Options Now That A Wave Time Has Closed?

 

 

You can purchase our “All Access Pass“. These passes are $100 and allow you to run in any wave time, even if it’s closed. There are a very limited number of these passes available for each event.

 

Q.

How Can I Prepay For Team Members?

 

 

You can currently register for someone else and add them to a team, but this requires inputting their registration information.

When registering for an event, select “I’m Registering For Someone Else”, add him or her to your team via the “Join A Team” button, then enter their email address and any requested information. The runner will receive an email asking them to complete their registration by signing the online waiver.

 

Q.

How Do I Complete A Registration Someone Else Paid For?

 

 

The recipient of the prepaid registration should have received an email with instructions to complete their registration and create an account if necessary.

The individual who purchased the registration can remind participants to complete their registration by selecting the corresponding order under their Account Orders.
